Today is one of those days that I know I will never forget. I went to a candlelight vigil to honor both survivors and victims of domestic violence. To hear their stories and to read their tragedies was beyond heartbreaking. No person should ever have to endure this type of abuse, and to know that this is happening around the world every single day is devastating.
What’s happening in Israel right now angers me…..to know that this was the highest number of deaths since the Holocaust almost leaves me at a loss for words. There is no end game or resolution in sight, as this holy war has lasted for centuries, and will sadly continue for centuries. Sadly, how many people have to die in the meantime?
In Washington DC and the surrounding areas, gun violence is out of control. With each passing year, the number of murders keeps increasing, as the guns continue to be in the wrong hands. Between the gang violence, carjackings and random violent acts, we continue to become desensitized to the daily violence that continues to plague our society.

How do we make this stop? What do we need to do to evoke positive change? I wish I knew.
We can only hope that the proverbial lyrics of Sam Cooke come to fruition: “A change is gonna come….oh yes it will.”
This change has to come….and we need it now more than ever.
Change has to come. As long as each individual is changing their thoughts toward being peacefulness and with love, eventually as a collective we will be the majority. Thank you for continuing using to share yoopur thoughts.
